Past, present and future

This is a picture how I felt during the past semester, I chose that picture because for me was an eternal semester, I ended tired and stressed like never before, I just want to that semester finish so I can take a rest.

This is a picture of this semester, I lived all kinds of emotions and different levels of stress, so yeah, I think that my mental situation is not the normal and I think that continue get worse with the years J

This how I will feel in the future, I know that is a very expressive picture but I hope that my vacations will be that way, with my friends, free time a lot of pool parties, normal parties and travel to the beach.

the challenges of the English, my last post

Hi again, today is not Friday, in fact is Monday but today is my last post in this blog (tininiii)

When somebody asks me about foreign languages, the first one I think about is English. English is an International language that almost everyone should know. I started learning it when I was in school in 8th grade, at first it was difficult to me, but as the time passed I realized that it wasn’t that difficult and it only takes motivation. Here at the university it is more fun than the school because the class are more interactive and they encourage us to speak more and express our ideas in English.

 About blogs, I think that they are a good form to make us write in a right way, to expand our vocabulary and learn how to use the grammar correctly. I can not say that now my English is perfect, in fact I think that my English is less than good, if I have to improve something I think that it may be my writing, because sometimes when you speak you only repeat words that have heard before but you don’t know always how to write them. Also I think that I could have a better pronunciation and fluency, but this is only a matter of time and practice.

Outside the English class I use English when I see movies without subtitles because I prefer to hear the original voices because I hate the voices of dubbing, also when hear songs in English to understand what are they talking about and of course when I have to translate papers for the class in the university specially in the subjects that need a lot of papers, like simulation, diagnosis, and OBE.

So. I hope you enjoyed reading the blogs as I enjoyed doing it. 

what change in my university?

Hi again like all Fridays in this semester, as you know I am an student of dentistry in the “Universidad de Chile” and in this blog we have to write about some things that we would change in the program, curriculum, etc. I personally think that is a very difficult topic because in this career we have a lot of problems in many ways that affect me and my partners.

First about the curriculum, the clinical and preclinical courses have some problems, for example the lack of patients for my partners in clinic and the problem with the teachers and doctors in the preclinical. I think that with the problem in clinical we can’t do anything because it’s a problem that we can’t handle it, but I think that as faculty we need to create a different way to help the students and I don’t know maybe a different way of approve the subjects and courses because is really sad to have to repeat a course and lose a year because your patient don’t come to the check that had registered.

Now in the preclinical courses, about this I have to comment that the worst thing is some teacher methods, I mean, we have really good teachers that know how to teach us the important things and obviously   we learn how do the things correctly and we understand the process, but some teachers don’t do that, the just say you things like “this is bad, do it again” and don’t tell you what the hell is wrong they don’t have a criterion to evaluate us. So I think that these teachers need to be more comprehensive and teach in a better way.

I know this is a difficult work but dreaming costs nothing. 

Summer holidays (blog seven)

Hi everyone today We have to write about our  plans for this summer vacations.

Well, normally I never do plans for the vacations because I usually have to work or I  don’t have money to  have a good vacation but I think that in this summer I Iwill  go to “el valle” in my region, el valle is el valle del elqui, the land of pisco and wine.

I planned go to camping there with a group of friends, actually my closest friends of ovalle, the city where I come from.

All this was idea of one of my best friend and ofcourse  I immediately said yes, I think it’s a great opportunity to have a different experience in this vacations.

About the food I am not  sure about  it  because we go to a camping so we eat simple food or maybe eat in a restaurant, but being  serious the money will be spent in parties and alcohol obviously, so the food goes  to a second place

In el valle we planed do trekking and go to the elqui river which is famous for the  big trees, the  green soil  and the relaxing of the water. The water is warm and has a depth that allows you  to swim and have a really nice day.

Well, i hope that about my summer vacations and I expect that you have plans to  enjoy the vacations and have a nice time with friends and family, see you in the next blog.

my favorites movies and series

Hi everyone today is time to talk about my favorite topic in this blogs, the movies and series, personally I love the both of them.

For me the movies are a very important part in my life, I think I have seen maybe the most part of movies in Netflix and I used to go to the cinema with some frequency for the premieres for the movies that I like, for example the romantic movies. In that way I have a lot of movies that I can classify like my favorites movies: Safe Haven, Notting Hill, pretty woman,Just with, Blended and 50 first dates starred by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, which is a very beautiful movie.

Regarding my favorite series I have some that of course are the best for me, In first place I have to tell you that the first series that I see in my life called BONES which is a series about a forensic anthropologist who work with a FBI agent and the cases are really interesting, the second series that I saw is I think my favorite in the life, I talk about FRIENDS starring Jennifer Aniston

Now I have seen another series that I like, of course Games of Thrones. Who in this life doesn´t like that series?  It is really good, I mean have everything that you can ask in a series, for example, fights, love, drama, intrigue and tragic. In other way about a month ago I watch a series named “the crown” about the life of the queen Elizabeth II of England, is a different series more serious and about history.

I don’t know if you have seen so much series or movies, but I just say you that is the best thing you can do in your life.

feminism

Hi everyone like all the Fridays today we have to do this blog, and in this opportunity I write about the feminism.

Well as a woman the feminism is a very important movement because we are moving for the evolution of the society, but the really big problem with this movement is that we live in a society dominated by men and the education that we received even in our homes is based in male sexism for example that like a girls we have to set the table, wash the dishes, and all that things.

To be able to make this movement better we need to know the difference between equality an equity, first we have to understand that men and women never will be the same, because we have many differences biologically, anatomically and physiologically  so that the movement looks for is the equity like a society, the same rights and homework that everyone.

In my point of view the feminism change my life because in my home my mom is a person with marked stereotypes for the girls and now in Santiago (alone) I can express mi thinking and I can go to the parades like #niunamenos by the way was a wonderful parade, not like the parades of the students, was more sentimental and with so much announcement that another parades that I’ve attended before

So in conclusion, supporting this movement is important for the society and for our lives.  

My paranormal experience

Hello, like all the weeks we have to write about different topics, in this opportunity it’s the turn of paranormal experiences.

Let’s see, I think that in my life have not had a paranormal experience, the only thing that maybe count like this subject is that when I was 13 years old one day I wake up at 4:00 o’clock and I started to listen a rare noise coming from a chair in the dining room, obviously in that moment I thought that it was a product of my imagination, but the strange in this situation is that in the next 5 days I always woke up at the same time and always listen the same noise so I started to think that something happened in my house and I just decide go to the cemetery and bring some flowers to my familiars, strangely at the next Day that I did this the noise stopped, I don’t know if this was result of my imagination or what, but since that day I go to the cemetery with some frequency for not have to pass again for that scary and strange situation.

I must add that I live in a small town with some myths about spirits, witches and the freaky devil so I was bred under that culture, but I am a rational and science person so I don’t believe in thinks that doesn’t exist. 

My future dream job

Hello, today I’m gonna talk about a job I would like to have:

If I could choose any job not related to what I’m studying now, I would like to work on a cruise, of course this is an outdoors job, and when think about it, I imagine me meeting a lot of fun people from all parts of the world, maybe learning some new languages, working with nice people and making stops at beautiful places, but I know that it can’t be all so perfect.
This is a job that involves travel a lot, but this is not always a good thing because it also cost you not to spend time with your family and friends, however work at this maybe just for one year could bring you good experiences and memories, for not saying all the gorgeous places that you can visit.

About the salary, I have really no idea how much they pay for any job at a cruise, but like I said before, maybe if you do it just for one or two years, the money that you earn might not be your principal worry. Of course you always have to put in a balance the work that you are making and how much are they paying you, because if it is not worthy you may want to think it twice.

Don't you think that work in a cruise would be amazing?

a postgraduate to the future

Hi everyone! Today we have to talk about postgraduate studies.

In this moment I am studying dentistry and still have 4 years to be able to finish. (It’s so sadL) Actually I haven’t thought of any kind of postgraduate but if I have to decide something now I prefer the implantology or the forensic dental anthropology, but based on the work situation in this country as a forensic dental anthropologist I wouldn’t have work anywhere and literally I would die starving so in that way I prefer the Implantology because it is an interesting postgraduate and I could help the people with the problem of the absence of teeth in their mouths.

If I have the opportunity of studying this subject of course I would  decide go to study in another country, like the United States for example and traveling to this country, would make me know great teachers and even work in there for some time (obviously learn English very well).

Personally I think that implantology is a postgraduate guided to return the quality of life of the people and the social status in the society and I would be happy doing that, for that reason I prefer this postgraduate over the rest of the opportunities of subjects that I can take after finishing the dentistry career.  I expect that you can choose some postgraduate that makes you happy like me with the implantology. 

my best holiday

Hi everyone today I’m going to talk about my best holiday because I have never gone to a concert so I can’t talk about that.

Well my best holiday was when I was a young women I think I was 16 years old, my family was renting a house in the beach, specifically in Guanaqueros, but I was with some friends in Coquimbo.

It all started on a Monday, one of my best friends invited me with my other friends to her house in Coquimbo, and we spent all the week there, going to the beach in the day and going to the clubs and the “avenida del mar” for some parties at night, but in the weekend my family went to Guanaqueros which is a beautiful beach about one hour away from Coquimbo, so with my friends I traveled to Guanaqueros the Friday in the afternoon (like 7 pm) just with shorts and t-shirt looking for and adventure (we were so adventurous), when we came to Guanaqueros  I immediately went to eat something in “the Suizo restaurant” , I bought something to drink and walked by the  seashore until the “dunas” place where we met with other friends and  other people that we didn’t know but were very friendly,  we past the night there and when the sun started to appear we decided to go to the home of my family and after the scolding of  my mother (because she didn’t know anything) we went to sleep and continued to enjoy the weekend at the beach.

For me it was the best experience in my young life, I hope you lived something similar. 

A country to visit

Hi everyone today i’m talking  about a country I’d like to visit, I always want to visit Turkey, this is  a country of the meditarranean  with a very different culture from  us, for example they have a special relation  with the coffee, they drink coffee like 3 times at Day and the weddings are a big celebrations with typical instrumental music and i think It’s a wonderful tradition.

I would like to visit turkey because of its beautiful  Cities like Ankara, Istambul  and Izmir that have Small towns  at the out side with beautiful  beaches, rivers and big  forests with all kind of trees.

The problem with turkey is that They have  difficult polític problems so it’s complicated to have the opportunity of visit this country, but if i have the possibility of traveling  there for some time (like six  months for example)  i would like to learn the language (that it’s really difficult) and travel  for the country and know al that nice  places which i imagine like a picture of a Fairy tale.
